Good Bye to a faithful friend.....

29 December 2008

A couple of weeks ago, I said good-bye to dear and faithful friend - "Rex Hunt's D'Lish Fish". After 10 wonderful years, I have decided to sell up and and move into new projects.   Over the years at D'Lish Fish I have seen many changes and improvements to the business. From new-look menus to new-look floors! Anyone who has run a small business knows how many challenges you face on a daily basis and we have had our fare share! Those challenges can only be overcome by employing good help! So to all the staff who have worked at Rex Hunt's D'Lish Fish over the past 10 years - THANK YOU. Especially to my son Matthew, daughter Rachel, long time Manager Jodie and account staff, Max. You have all in some way added to the success of what was an amazing ride! Thank you.

Rex Hunt's D'Lish Fish was often the meeting place for children who requested meeting me through the "Make A Wish Foundation". To all those people who have touched my life, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet you and chat with you.

Of course, Good Friday at D'Lish is a big event that happened every year and a big thanks goes out to all the AFL footballing personalities that have come along to help raise over $20,000 for the Royal Children's Hospital. This was always such a special event on my calendar and one that I will miss.

I have seen many thousands of people come through the doors of Rex Hunt's D'Lish Fish to buy quality fish and chips. To all those loyal patrons from the past 10 years, I would sincerely like to thank you for your custom and your support. Our little family business would not have been the success it was without you.

Thank you all very much.

Rex
